Team Spirit on Display at District Gala Day

On Friday 5th September, our Senior students headed to McDonell Park to take part in the District Gala.
They enjoyed a day of competition and fun, playing Hotshots Tennis, Newcombe/Volleyball, and Ultimate Frisbee. It was a fantastic opportunity to show teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit.

A special thanks goes to Chelsea and Aston from Year Four who stepped in at short notice to play Newcombe….even though they had never played it before!
Both showed courage to say yes to the challenge and went in with a positive attitude.
🏅Special Mention:
Well done to Kaya, Trish, Tanya, Ruby and Livi, who represented Holy Spirit at the Division Athletics held at Meadowglen Athletics Track on Monday 8th September. The girls’ relay team came 5th, Ruby placed 3rd in Long Jump, and Livi came 1st place in the 1500m for Darebin.
Livi will now progress to compete at the Regional level. A fantastic achievement!

💡Spotlight on STEM

The Juniors finished off the term with an exciting triple activity rotation!
Groups spent 10 minutes at each station cutting and pasting Obento (lunch box) contents, sorting plastic food items into categories reflected in the Department of Health Guide to Healthy Eating (formerly known as the food pyramid) and creating edible faces from vegetables and legumes!
The class was a buzzing hive of activity and noise!

Farewell to the Kosas Family

It is with sadness that we farewell the Kosas family, who have been part of our school community for the past year and a half.
As they return home to Lebanon, we extend our very best wishes for the future. During their time at Holy Spirit, the Kosas family contributed greatly to school life, building strong connections and leaving a positive mark on our community. The school staff also loved Gina’s baking!
You will be deeply missed.

SCHOOL FEES
Please keep in mind that all school fees and levies accounts are due to be finalised by the end of Term 3 if possible.
If you are on direct debit, it will continue as usual. Junior camp payments are not due yet, however some families have already paid this amount. Information regarding camp and payment will be sent home in coming weeks as it has not yet been finalised. We ask that families do not bring cash into the school to pay bills during the last week of term if possible.
Many thanks to those who have already settled their accounts for the year.
