Raising Money for Project Compassion

All the money that was donated during Shrove Tuesday went to Project Compassion and people growing up in a place of poverty in Nepal. The money raised is creating a future for families and is creating a safe environment with plenty food and water for everyone.

What would we do without our parent helpers?

Thank you to all of the parent helpers who took time out of their busy days to come and make this day possible. We know how much effort they put in and all the running around they had to do during the day.

The morning was so popular that there was a shortage of pancakes at one point and the parents fired up the barbeque again for another round of pancakes.

We couldn’t have done it without all of their help and efforts.

Some great photos of the day

Top five toppings for the day

All of the toppings were delicious but these toppings took the cake for most popular:

  • Maple Syrup
  • Jam
  • Lemon and sugar
  • Honey
  • Sprinkles
Parents and teachers enter the relay

The excitement wasn’t all about the pancakes, we also had some fun activities involving the pancakes, with our pancake relays. All of the year levels had a fun race where they competed against each other while flipping pancakes.

Everyone struggled to keep the pancake in the pan but everyone really enjoyed it.

A special shout out to the parents and teachers who ran in every race……impressive!
