Ex Student Anika Luna From Triple J Comes Back to Holy Spirit
When we first saw Anika we were a bit nervous but the more we talked to her we completely forgot our worries.
She was so KIND, genuinely one of the nicest people we have ever met!
Meeting her was definitely a highlight for our lives at primary school. We are glad we got the chance to meet and interview her. It was a real delight.
Thanks so much for your time Anika, you are the best.

💛 Celebrating World Kindness Day

The whole school celebrated World Kindness Day on Thursday 13th November.
Before school started families were invited to add their kindness link.
As part of our celebrations, we sang four kindness themed songs, shared a poem, and learned about the history of World Kindness Day.
Every child created a kindness link for our whole-school kindness chain, with each link representing an act, word, or thought of kindness.
“One small act can make a big difference.”
Students also ran a fun competition to guess the final length of the chain. The total came to an incredible 14 metres, with Livi guessing correctly!
As part of our commitment to build stronger community connections—our Junior School visited the Italian Seniors Group in the hall.
They sang a song for them and handed out kindness bracelets. Both old and young had a blast together.

To finish the day, every child received a “Be Kind” bracelet as a reminder that kindness is something we can carry with us every day. It was a wonderful way to celebrate kindness across our school.
⭐A Big Day Out at Junior Camp

On Thursday we went on Junior camp. We went to Animal Land Diggers Rest, which is a farm. I smelled the air. It smelled different. I heard animals in the distance. I felt happy. I thought what will I be doing? Will I ride a pony or a horse? Will I do ‘poo scooping’ or not?
First my group went to see baby animals. We got to pat bunnies, guinea pigs and chicks. The bunnies were very soft and cute. The guinea pigs were cute.
They had tiny legs. I didn’t touch the chicks because they had claws. Next we went fishing. We were told to put the fish back after we got some fish. My hat fell into the water!! After that we fed ducks, but I didn’t feed them. Then we had lunch and pony rides…….

On Thursday last week we went to Animal Land for Junior Camp! First we got to pick up the Preps from Degani’s. Then we went on a 40 minute bus drive! Then we finally got there! ………..My favourite part was riding Tommy the tractor.

On Thursday we went to Animal Land. I felt weird because of the different smells. I could smell pigs and different kinds of foods. My favourite part was the pony riding and finding the Aboriginal Rock. My other favourite part was the chicks because they were soft and cute. I felt excited!
