Harmony Day

On Thursday, we celebrated Harmony Day as a whole school community.
We began with prayer, taking time to reflect on the importance of respect, inclusion and belonging. We were then treated to a beautiful and moving performance of ‘I Am Australian’ by our talented school choir, led by Mrs K.
Students participated in a variety of engaging activities, including a World Flag Scavenger Hunt, team-building games, creative art tasks and world puzzles.
These experiences encouraged students to learn about and appreciate the many cultures that make up our diverse community.

We thank Mrs K and the students for giving up their time to rehearse during lunchtimes. The choir will perform again in the near future for parents.

🍀St. Patricks Day Celebrations🍀

At Holy Spirit we celebrated St Patrick’s Day with our children wearing green. St Patrick often used a three – leafed shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity – hence we wear the colour green to celebrate his feast day.
Our Cake Stall that was organised by our Parents Association was a great success and I thank them for planning such a great event for our children.
Thanks to all our families who contributed to ensure our Cake Stall was such a success. All money raised will go towards ensuring our children have resources to assist them with their learning.

Fire Carriers

Introducing Our FIRE Carrier Leaders
We are proud to introduce our enthusiastic FIRE Carrier Leaders: Isabelle, Nektarios, Olivia and Lucas. FIRE stands for Friends Igniting Reconciliation through Education.
Our FIRE Carriers play an important role in acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, promoting respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and educating our school community about reconciliation.
Acknowledgement of Country Recording
We are pleased to share our school’s very own Acknowledgement of Country recording, led by our FIRE Carrier Leaders. This is a meaningful step in strengthening our commitment to respect, understanding and reconciliation within our school community.
PBL – Positive Behaviour for Learning
Our School Closure day was a great success. The Staff reviewed the feedback from themselves, parents and students regarding the choice of our school values.
PBL will provide the Holy Spirit Community with a whole school framework which will assist us to continue to create safe, supportive and productive learning environments.
Positive actions will be rewarded and clear consequences and supports will be given to those children not meeting our expectations. The aim of PBL is to improve social, emotional and academic outcomes for all members of our community.
We will continue to keep you informed of our progress to ensure PBL is embedded into our school practices and culture.
