 INDIGENOUS RESPECT DAY

FIRE Carrier Commissioning & Casual Clothes Day – Thursday 4 December

On Thursday 4 December, our newly elected FIRE Carriers (Friends Igniting Reconciliation through Education) will be officially commissioned at our school assembly.

We are delighted to welcome Lisa Moloney, the FIRE Carrier Program Coordinator, who will speak with both our current and new FIRE Carriers about the importance of their role and lead the commissioning ceremony.

Our FIRE Carriers play a vital part in strengthening Reconciliation and Indigenous Education within our school community.

As a proud FIRE Carrier School, we also support the Opening The Doors Foundation, an organisation that helps empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families by providing financial support for essential educational needs such as uniforms, books and learning resources.

To contribute to this important work, we will be holding a Casual Clothes Day on the same day. Students are invited to wear a splash of red, yellow and/or black to represent the Aboriginal flag and bring along a gold coin donation.

Thank you for supporting our commitment to Reconciliation and educational equity.

We warmly invite you to join us at our school assembly on Thursday, 4 December, at 2:35pm for this special commissioning celebration.
